Me: I am Angela Mack, a biracial and multicultural, Black
and Korean cisgender woman who currently practices as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland. I was born in Korea and grew up in Virginia with my Korean mother and Black American soldier father.
Adults: You are struggling with how to feel grounded with the major life transitions that you have recently experienced. You are more anxious than you believe to be healthy. Your relationships are suffering or nonexistent, and you're not embracing your identities. I help people discover who they are, embrace their inner power, and change their inner narrative. You more than matter. You are more than enough.
Teens: High school sometimes just sucks. You have a lot of pressure to figure out what you want to do with your future. Getting into college or deciding if college is really right for you occupies your brain more than you want. It's overwhelming. Wondering if what you are feeling is anxiety, depression, or something else completely. Talking to your parents hasn't helped. Talking with friends helps a little, but it's not enough. I help teens and young adults feel affirmed in who they are. I will help you feel empowered to take on the world.
Selecting me as your therapist or your teens' therapist means that who you are at your core, will be seen, valued, nurtured, and guided down a path of healing from the root. Trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and healing focused is my promise to you.
